5 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

My guilty pleasure is definitely a dozen of cookies. I love pretty much any type of cookie out there...except PEANUT BUTTER cookies. I'll admit right here right now that I have despised peanut butter ever since I was a little kid and remember the exact moment I realized my hatred for this must beloved spread... but that's another story.

When my friend Melina came to me with a peanut butter recipe I rolled my eyes because she knows I hate peanut butter. She tried to persuade my by telling me that they were "healthy-ish" and she did! We decided to make them for ourselves after our curiosity got the best of us.

This recipe is so simple (which is amazing for me because I'm not really a baker) with only 5 ingredients: Oats, peanut butter, brown sugar, baking soda, and one egg.

So like I said...I'm not a baker so this is not my recipe. We got this recipe from the Taste of Home website which you can find here! This website has pretty much every recipe you could ever ask for!

These cookies were honestly DELICIOUS! I don't even like peanut butter but I LOVED these cookies. I like to know what I'm eating so I like homemade cookies way better than store bought. I like that there are only 5 ingredients in these cookies (but 6 for ours because we added chocolate chips).

Because I have been on my game with my diet lately, I do let myself have a little sweet treat and I do not feel guilty about these. Very easy and delicious and I highly recommend! I paired them with almond milk and it was the best late night snack.

Honestly sometimes you just need a little sugar in your life. Like I've been trying to preach... its all about balance! Eating a cookie wont kill you and if you do it with a friend like I did, baking can be fun and relaxing and a great excuse for a gossip session!
